The
Adolescent Sublime Project
Adolescent Sublime Project is a non-profit
international on-line consortium of young digital artists, videographers
and journalists. Members of the consortium contribute their work to
the library of digital footage and interviews. The library will be
available for commercial use, and net proceeds from all commercial
fees will be distributed to the authors/contributors.
Phase 1:
Our crew will spend about a year on the road: researching youth movements
in different countries, identifying “street” trends and
establishing relationships with the most promising young men and women
involved with political activism, enterprise and creative ventures.
In every location these young journalists and videographers will form
a support team, or local “wing” of our Adolescent
Sublime Project. These core groups of affiliates will act as
liaisons, interpreters, and contributors of creative content.
Phase 2:
Upon return, and armed with a rich catalog of interview materials,
we will create a series of short films on a variety of subjects: Youth
and Fashion, Youth and Cloning, Youth and IM-ing, Youth and Spirituality
etc. These will be presented at film festivals, distributed to broadcasters,
and through the educational channels. Upon gaining initial commercial
recognition, we will formalize the Adolescent Sublime Project;
a consortium of young digital media artists and journalists will be
formed, members coming from the Adolescent Sublime Wings.
Phase 3:
The Adolescent Sublime Project will consist of:
- Catalog of short films about youth trends and
opinions; the catalog will be regularly updated through input
from Adolescent Sublime Wings;
- Library of weblogs with contributions from young
journalists, opinion leaders, educators and traditional experts
(sociologists, historians, scientists, etc.).
- Contributions to the Project will be remunerated
through ‘Sublime Shares’. The output of the Project
will be available for commercial licensing. Owners of Sublime
Shares will receive regular monetary distributions from net licensing
revenues.
"In our crazy world, we spend billions of dollars
trying to capture the
'youth market' and relatively little trying to capture youth
imagination. The Adolescent Sublime
Project offers young people worldwide just the right mix of
encouragement, inspiring role models, and a lively venue for talent
and
cross-cultural team building. The adult and teen leaders of ASP have
our total support."
