The Crew Members...
Veronika Litinski - Producer
Veronika is an accomplished financier and entrepreneur. She moved
to business from a career as research scientist at Lawrence Livermore
Labs in Berkeley, where she focused on mechanisms of DNA repair.
En route to the business world, Veronika founded in Russia the publication,
‘The Practitioner-CIS Edition’ a medical journal under
license with UN Miller Freeman, negotiated strategic partnerships,
established sales, production and distribution structures. While
completing her MBA at the University of San Francisco, she consulted
on marketing strategies for Dharani Orchards, India and IZIZI International,
India. For the past six years Veronika has worked in corporate finance,
first as a financial analyst with Union Bank, then as Associate
Director at GATX Capital, an NYSE-traded company. In 2000 she was
promoted to Director, Venture Finance Group. In this last role she
assumed broad responsibilities for the firm’s International
Operations. She is a member of Financial Women Association (FWA)
and Financial Executives International (FEI).
Lee Gotham - Writer/Director
Lee is the author of a trilogy of novellas, The Festive Wound,
the first of which, L’Anormale, was published in 1999
by Nonplus Editions. He is an anthologized poet (Millennium Cabaret,1998
Wired on Words, Poetry Nation, 1999 Véhicule Press,
Short Fuse, The Global Anthology of New Fusion Poetry,
2002 Rattapallax Press) and playwright/director of the stageplay,
Gel; One Long Act. Lee also provoked a renaissance
in the spokenword community in Montreal, Canada, organizing and hosting
the weekly event, Enough Said in 1994-95. He has recently co-developed
a series of animation scripts for television, Vince the Invincible,
currently making its rounds of the networks. Lee graduated with distinction
from the M.A. Creative Writing program at Concordia University in
Montreal.
Jeremy Jesse Kaltenbach - Videographer
Jesse Jeremy Kaltenbach, Director of Photography
Jesse is a D.O.P. and still photographer with several documentary
projects to his credit. Specializing in Extreme Sports cinematography,
Jesse has documented the BASE-Jumping phenomena as it has unfolded
in recent years. From the KL Tower event in Kuala Lumpur (2001)
back through the seminal jump events of Bridge Day in Virginia,
(2000 and 1999) challenges at Yosemite, CA and Moab, Utah. He also
filmed the World Team Sky-Diving Record jump in Thailand in 1999.
Jesse has also worked as production assistant for 20th Century Fox
(Planet of the Apes) and has two documentary films currently
in development, Navajo-Hopi Land Disputes in Black Mesa,
AZ, and The Life and Work of Art Carpenter, for the California
Contemporary Craft Association.
Alex Shub - Music Composer
Alex " Choub" Shub was born in Siberia, Russia. He began
playing piano at age 6, picked up the bass, attended the School
of Music in Krasnojarsk, and played in the Krasnojarsk Philharmonic.
In the late '80s Alex created Amalgama, a heavy-punk band.
In 1990, he moved to Moscow, joined a band called Attack,
and soon after began working as a session musician. In 1992 he moved
to Copenhagen, Denmark where Alex formed Bassworks, with
whom he continues recording and touring projects.
Kristina Rizga - Associate
Producer
The recipient of successive scholarships, Kristina graduated from
the BA History program at U.C. Berkeley in December 2002. An enthusiastic
promoter of contemporary jazz music in and around the Bay Area,
Kristina has put her talents as a publicist at the disposal of ‘43
Productions’, a label collective representing numerous local
musicians and groups. Working at the World Affairs Council of Northern
California, Kristina honed skills of office management and program
co-ordinating. Her research and organizational skills are valued
additions to our enterprise.
